  • Year 2

These are the projects I've been working on for Creative Technology in the second year.

    CubAR

This project will use augmented reality to help with early childhood education, such as year 1's and 2's in primary schools. My idea is to make a game based off the blocks used to help teach kids about place value in numbers (ones, tens and most likely hundreds). This game would make a more enjoyable and interactive way to learn about math using in the real world and on a mobile device. By using the blocks with target images on them, once stacked it should be recognised as different images so the application will recognise that and have a different 3D model for each number.

  • Competitive Play

The purpose of this project is to observe non-competitive personalities and to test if and to what extent can that personality become competitive. This project involves using social groups such as professional, educational and friendship groups. By testing these groups, it can be determined who is and isn't competitive and what makes them competitive whether it's towards one another, or a specific outcome.

  • Phantom Limbs

    Limb concept

A mechanical set of cards that interact with each other, and are designed to be played with, whether to fiddle with it and zone out, or to play with it and learn how they work. These cards are laser cut and put together using really strong adhesive, our cards were made of three layers, the top layer being plastic to allow an educational purpose.

  • Year 1

These are the projects I've been working on for Creative Technology in the first year.

    Immersive Theatre for Roleplay

    3D Model

This is a project based on Immersion Theory and incorporating that into the elements of Role-play. We're using Dungeons and Dragons as a scaffold for out project to test the effectiveness of the immersion. We've recreated the typical setting of a Dungeons and Dragons play session to show how we're using the model we created in it's environment.
